- Support of Evansville Care Closet
a. Church members regularly volunteer at the Care Closet
b. Donated 905 pounds of food for “Souper Bowl” Sunday in 2012. - Adopt a Family for Christmas – two families in Evansville received food, Christmas presents, and other items to help them have a Merry Christmas
- Meals on Wheels – church members volunteer to deliver lunches to seniors in the community.
- Annual District Conference Ingathering - The 2012 Ingathering for the District Conference is in need of bedding kits for the Midwest Mission Distribution Center. We have set a goal of 25 bedding kits for our church. Each bedding kit includes the following
2 flat double-bed sheets
2 pillowcases
2 pillows
All items must be new and unused in plastic bags in which they are packaged from the manufacturer. Please drop off a bedding kit to the church office. If you would prefer to donate money, that would be great and we can buy a bedding kit for you.
The Methodist Church Distribution Center provides goods to help families who have been impacted by floods, tornadoes, fires, etc.
National
- Health Kits – in 2011, 40 emergency health kits were donated to help families going through disasters such as floods, tornadoes, or fires. Health kits include things like soap, toothpaste, band-aids, and shampoo.
International
- In 2011 members of the church raised over $2,000 to help an orphanage in the Republic of Georgia.
- In October 2012, a team of 11 people will go to the Republic of Georgia to work on projects at a pediatrics hospital and at a rural elementary school.
